NWLP: NQT conference and Training Programme 2020-21

Next year will be more important than ever to support our Newly Qualified Teachers. We have taken time over the lock down period and the summer break to ensure we have got our training offer just right. Please see attached for the full programme.
The North West Learning Partnership Annual NQT Conference will take place on:
Wednesday 7th October 2020 at Mercure St Helens Hotel, Linkway West, St Helens, WA10 1NG
Agenda to include:
Mathematics- Raising the bar! – Tara Loughran, Mathematics Consultant
English- Raised Expectations – Maddy Barnes, English Director
Behaviour Management Strategies – Jason Bangbala, Behavioural Expert
During face to face events no paper based resources will be given out. All materials will be sent electronically.
Please see the COVID statement attached, as you will see we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure all delegates and staff are protected. 
 
We will only allow delegates that are booked onto the training to attend the sessions. With this in mind please ensure you book places at all events that you wish to attend (this includes alliance member schools). Previously we have allowed people that have turned up, without booking, into events. Due to reduced numbers and spacing this will not be allowed.

Don’t forget – NWLP Members receive one FREE place at ALL NQT events (including the conference). These places MUST be booked in advance to ensure places are secured. Thank you! 🙂

The NQT programme consists of 11 sessions in total including 3 Full days, 4 ½ days, 3 twilights and the NQT conference. Cost per individual training session: £60.00 for Full days (including the NQT conference) £30.00 for ½ day and twilights. All alliance partners/members will receive 1 FREE NQT place Schools Direct Trainees that have been trained via the North West Learning Partnership (formerly St Mary and St Thomas CE Teaching School Alliance) and have been successful in securing an NQT post within an alliance school will receive this NQT training offer free of Charge.  (please see attached for further information).
NQTs and RQTs are encouraged to attend the Maths, English and Foundation Subject training sessions that are provided in addition to this programme via the North-West Learning Partnership and North West 3 Maths Hub. In addition, all teachers are welcome to attend the subject leadership and aspiring leadership development networks that we offer. These include termly: Maths, English, Science, EYFS, Computing and SEND.
