I hope the return to school for you and your staff has been a successful one. It has been great to see lots of you throughout the last few weeks engaging in the Leadership Briefings. Thank you for your positive feedback it is greatly appreciated. As requested, please see below the autumn term briefings:

The North West Learning Partnership has the following Leadership Briefings available this term:

  • EYFS Base line session- Tuesday 6th October 9-12 at The Barn, Yew Tree Farm, Lower Road, Liverpool, L26 3UA
Join us for this National EYFS Update led by Nikki Walters from Early Excellence.
Prior to the COVID-19 Lockdown, our EYFS colleagues were facing change for the 2020/21 academic year with the compulsory introduction of the Reception Baseline Assessment for all schools, a new curriculum and supporting materials (Development Matters) due to be published, and the option to become an Early Adoptor for the new EYFS Profile prior to its full rollout in 2021.
But what has lockdown meant for all these proposed changes? Where are we now?
In this session we will explore the national landscape for the EYFS in the new school year and examine the next steps for EYFS assessment.
    Areas for discussion include:
  • The national rollout of the Reception Baseline Assessment: facts v myths
  • What constitutes good EYFS assessment
  • Policy priorities for the reforms to EYFS Profile Assessment.
