Please see below the Mathematics leadership, teacher and support staff opportunities for the autumn term.
Given the circumstances we have decided to offer a blended approach to training this term.
We have taken the opportunity, where possible to move some events to online training but as you will appreciate some sessions don’t allow for the best possible learning opportunities by being ‘virtual’.

NWLP Members receive FREE places at ALL leadership meetings this includes: HT briefings and Subject Leader events. These places MUST be booked in advance to ensure places are secured. Thank you! 🙂

With this in mind we are offering the following:

Face to face sessions – see brochure attached for more detail, times/dates and venues:

Excellent Maths Teacher Programme Starting Thursday 17th September at Knowsley Barn.

Head Teacher briefing– Implications for maths teaching in the most important year for decades
Tara will look at how to support all children in school after the missing months. How can we prepare to support children to make accelerated progress? She will offer alternative medium-term plans to support all year groups- Tuesday 15th September, 8.30-11am at Mercure St Helens Hotel, Linkway West, Saint Helen’s, WA10 1NG. The HT briefings will be held on a termly basis.

Maths Subject Leaders – autumn term meeting- Friday 2nd October- 9am-3.30pm at Mercure St Helens Hotel, Linkway West, Saint Helen’s, WA10 1NG.

Each session will support maths leads to:

  • Develop leadership skills in line with key policies and procedures across school
  • Explore thoroughly a mathematics area looking at progression across all year groups
  • Explore national and local issues and provide key updates from North West 3 Maths Hub and NCETM

 

The majority of maths training sessions being offered will commence in November. At this stage we are hoping to host these face to face. However, given the ever changing climate and uncertainty of the year ahead we will convert all training offers to online events.

Online sessions will be delivered on the dates stipulated in the brochure. Timings will be altered slightly and will run:
All full days will be delivered 9:30 -11:30 and 1-3.
All materials will be sent out after the event to delegates that register and attend the Zoom meeting.

Once registered with Paula Foster – paula.foster@three-saints.org.uk Zoom invitations will be sent to the contact on the booking.

During face to face events no paper based resources will be given out. All materials will be sent electronically.
Please see the COVID statement attached, as you will see we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure all delegates and staff are protected.

We will only allow delegates that are booked onto the training to attend the sessions. With this in mind please ensure you book places at all events that you wish to attend (this includes partnership member schools). Previously we have allowed people that have turned up, without booking, into events. Due to reduced numbers and spacing this will not be allowed.
